August 2025 Stargazing: Cygnus and Cassiopeia
I have already accepted that I can count on my fingers the nights when there’s only 30% sky obscured in summer, including August. Any more than that is like playing tag with the clouds! I continued to collect more data in Cygnus while taking a peek at what’s to come in autumn in Cassiopeia!

Daytime Stargazing: The Sun, the Moon and the bright planets
Can you use a telescope during the day? Absolutely! From my 3:30am stargazing session to capturing the sun at 5PM, telescopes work brilliantly in daylight. I observed the Moon, Venus, Jupiter, and even recorded detailed solar footage with sunspots. Daytime astronomy opens up viewing opportunities beyond nighttime deep-sky objects.
