October Stargazing: Comet Hunting!
October brought two rare comets—C/2025 A6 Lemmon and C/2025 R2 SWAN at their closest approach to Earth. Summer Hiking in Taiwan: Sawtooth Ridge (鋸齒) and Taipei Skyline Trail (台北天際線) Section 1A
September’s still pretty hot, but if you’re itching to get outside, try Sawtooth Ridge – a 7km rocky trail from Banpingshan to Teapot Mountain – or hit up Taipei Skyline Trail Section 1A from Xindian to Maokong for awesome city views. Just pack tons of water and maybe wait for cooler weather!

Camping in 小野柳 臺東Xiaoyeliu, Taitung : My First Time Camping out in Taiwan
Also known as Xiaoyeliu (小野柳), the area have lots of interesting rock formations along the coast. Unlike most of the country of Taiwan’s east coast, the rock formation here is primarily made of sandstone. For 2025’s blood moon, we chose this as our base of operations.

August 2025 Stargazing: Cygnus and Cassiopeia
I have already accepted that I can count on my fingers the nights when there’s only 30% sky obscured in summer, including August. Any more than that is like playing tag with the clouds! I continued to collect more data in Cygnus while taking a peek at what’s to come in autumn in Cassiopeia!
